THE KIDS HAD A GREAT EXPERENTIAL TRIP TO THE ZOO NEGARA MALAYSIA
19 children from the Shelter Home were given a chance to learn more about large animals with a guided tour at the Zoo Negara Malaysia. They were then taught on clay modeling and painting on canvas using LYRA artwork materials. The event was jointly supported by YOKI.
Dear Stephen,
Even from my bed of rest, when I see the faces of the children and you and your members, I can't help but thank God for the work that you and your staff are doing for our children and other children from other Homes. This is so tremendous. Thank you so much, Stephen I'm sure the children had a great time of learning as well as enjoying the zoo experience. Cheok Hoong Poh General Manager Shelter, Home For Children Mr.Stephen,
We at Shelter are grateful to you for the Day our children spent at the Zoo on 18th June 23, 2011. I wish to state that they have been to the zoo before. But this trip was (very) different. They did not walk past chit chatting with friends. They were made to stay longer and really observe each animal, which was not forced on them. They did observe “With Interest” since they were given the necessary material and asked to draw – some thing they have never done before. Surprisingly most of them could, which also brought out the hidden talents in them. Once they got involved, they were rather quiet and were trying to do their best. The same way when they were given the clay and canvas, each encouraging different skills, the results were amazing. Hidden talents were explored, which neither the children nor the care givers ever realized they possessed. We appreciate the amount of planning, time and effort that have gone into this program. Though it was a whole day program, the children were neither tired nor bored, since they were involved in a variety of activities. So it goes without saying BIG WONDERS @ ZOO NEGARA MALAYSIA on 18th June, 2011 organized by “LEARNING WITH NATURE FOR ALL” was a tremendous success. We also thank you for the wonderful lunch and drinks that were provided. Thank you. Johnson Alexander Shelter, Home For Children Dear Stephen,
I believe the ones who should be doing the thanking is us at Shelter. Thank YOU and your team for bringing our kids for such a wonderful programme, and giving them the opportunity to learn and have fun at the same time (seems like I should have gone as well!) Once again, we at Shelter would like to thank you for all that you've done. We hope that you'll include us (and our kids of course!) in any of your future programmes.
